About BirthRank

BirthRank answers one question: of every human who has ever been born, what number were you?

Demographers estimate that about 117 billion people have been born since our species began. BirthRank takes that line, everyone from the first humans to the baby born a second ago, and finds your place in it from your birthday.

It also shows the famous people born on your birthday and nearest to you in line, drawn from the roughly 6,900 best-documented people born since 1500, in eight languages.

BirthRank is an independent project. It is free to use and paid for by advertising.
